"Impressive...Live action role-playing and verisimilitude make Of Dice and Men a success."—East Bay Express

"Sweet, smart, funny...sharply etched...One of the wonderful things about McNary's play is that you don't have to know anything about D&D to enjoy it."—Chad Jones' Theater Dogs

Of Dice and Men

Written by Cameron McNary
Directed by Melissa Hillman
Aug 25–Oct 8, 2011

About the play

In this incisively funny and deeply affecting play, the world of six Dungeons & Dragons players is thrown into disarray when one of them reveals a startling decision. Playwright Cameron McNary examines why we game, what it means to grow up, and what true friendship looks like. Never played D&D in your life? Don't worry—you don't need to know anything about the game to have a great time at the show. Hardcore D&D nerd? You'll be happier than a half-Orc in a pile of unicorn dung.

Of Dice and Men is directed by Artistic Director Melissa Hillman and features Impact favorites Maria Giere, Stacz Sadowski, Jai Sahai, and Seth Thygesen, as well as Impact newcomers Jonathon Brooks and Linda-Ruth Cardozo.
